IULI Partners with Terra Drone Academy to Advance Drone Pilot Competencies
An eight-day training program combining theoretical instruction and hands-on flight experience to prepare participants for professional Remote Pilot certification.
Gading Serpong, 5-12 July 2026 – Universitas Lintas Internasional Indonesia (IULI), in collaboration with Terra Drone Academy, successfully organized a Drone Remote Pilot Training Program from 5-12 July 2026. The program was designed to strengthen participants' competencies in drone operation, addressing the increasing demand for qualified drone pilots across a wide range of industries, including aviation, infrastructure, environmental monitoring, mapping, agriculture, and logistics.
As part of its commitment to advancing aerospace education, IULI offers the Aviation Engineering (AVE) Study Program, which prepares graduates with competencies in modern aviation technologies and unmanned aerial systems. The collaboration with Terra Drone Academy represents one of IULI's tangible contributions to supporting the development of Indonesia's drone ecosystem by providing industry-oriented training that bridges academic knowledge with professional practice.
The training adopted a comprehensive learning approach that combined theoretical instruction with intensive hands-on flight training. Participants attended classroom sessions covering drone fundamentals, aerodynamics, aviation weather, flight regulations, operational procedures, maintenance, aviation safety, and decision-making, followed by practical flight exercises and both theoretical and practical examinations.
A remarkable achievement during the program was earned by Runita Putri, a faculty member at IULI, who achieved the highest score in the final examination. Her outstanding performance reflects both her professional competence and IULI's commitment to continuously enhancing the expertise of its academic staff in emerging technologies that are highly relevant to industry needs.
Upon successful completion of the program, participants received a training certificate that can be used to support their application for the official Remote Pilot (Drone Pilot) Certification. This provides participants with an important pathway toward obtaining professional certification and pursuing careers in the rapidly expanding unmanned aviation sector.
Through this strategic collaboration with Terra Drone Academy, IULI continues to strengthen its mission of delivering industry-driven education while fostering innovation in aviation and drone technologies. By integrating academic excellence with practical training through its Aviation Engineering (AVE) Study Program, IULI is actively contributing to the development of highly skilled professionals who are ready to support the future of unmanned aerial systems and the broader aviation industry.
